Find Your Verse

7/15/2015

Last week your homework was to find a verse that correlated to something that you have been praying about. This week you must find a verse in the Pauline epistles that talks specifically about prayer... Here is the catch no verse can be posted twice so the faster you find yours the better! Write this verse in your notes and try to memorize it by the next time we meet at D.E.E.P.
P.S. My verse is
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18New King James Version (NKJV)

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

I am very excited about this topic. Wednesday in D.E.E.P. we discussed PRAYER. Remember Prayer is a conversation with God. What is your personal record for staying on the phone the longest talking with someone? Okay now be honest.....What is your personal record for longest time spent in conversation with God?

Wednesday in D.E.E.P.  we talked about Jesus changing a mans name from Simon, to Peter. What does your name mean?? If you were going to change your first name what would you change it to? Why did God change peoples names in the Bible???

Wednesday night in D.E.E.P. youth group I challenged you to go home and search your heart to see  What account from the life of Jesus has affected the way that you live your life today? and what have you done to change your life to look more like Christ and to be a light in this dark world?

What's it to you?

During D.E.E.P. (Disciples. Experiencing. Eternal. Purpose.) Youth Meeting Wednesday, we discussed the story of Ehud. Ehud was a Judge, in Judges 3 in the old testament that was left handed. You may ask "Why is the fact that Ehud was left handed important?"  It was important because while everyone else was right-handed, Ehud was left handed, and he was over looked as a threat to anyone. Ehud faked being right-handed so they wouldn't know it was him who killed the King. Ehud should not have succeeded, but God had a different plan. What verse, story, or person from the Bible inspires you and why???
